Single Homeless Project Turns 50!

2025 marks the 50th anniversary of our founding.

Our journey began in 1975 when six men experiencing homelessness set out to change the system. They wanted to see an end to rough sleeping and a city where everyone has a safe place to live and the chance for a fulfilling life.

A lot has changed then, but our ethos remains the same. We’ve stayed true to our roots, with our founders’ tenacious spirit and compassionate drive continuing to shape our work and inspire everything we do. We’re there for people 365 days a year, and we don’t give up.

In a city where someone is forced into homelessness every 7.5 minutes, our work has never been more needed or more challenging. And we’re not shying away. We’re rolling up our sleeves to make change happen, providing Londoners with safe places to live, heal and thrive.

We have many exciting plans for the year ahead. Look for updates and ways to get involved!
